Our Business History

Spruceside Electric was established in 2021 through a collaboration between the owner of Spruceside Construction, Braydon Robertson, and Master Electrician Mike Browning. What began as a job opportunity evolved into a strategic plan to extend our services to the Niagara Region. Initially, we focused on consolidating Spruceside Construction's electrical work in-house. The team expanded with the addition of high school co-op Brody Secord, who swiftly transitioned from co-op to a full-time employee and became our first apprentice.

Mike Browning is a master electrician who has worked heavily in the industrial field since beginning in the trade. Mike is able to take apart, rebuild and repair almost anything electronic or electrical that falls into his lap. He is very happy to explain to customers some easy maintenance tips to keep things top-quality when he can. Mike brings a unique level of electrical to the field as he has also worked for Hewlett Packard, has been tech-savvy, and even owned his own computer business back when he was younger. With this skill set, he is able to recommend and install products that other companies may avoid, such as smart home integration or Wi-Fi. Mike is also certified in ABB Robotics programming.
